Installation Steps
-
Preparation
- Turn off the engine and disconnect the power supply to ensure safety.
- Open the engine hood, locate the headlight positions, and identify the dust covers for the low beam and high beam lights.
-
Remove the Dust Cover and Old Bulb
- Remove the low beam dust cover to expose the halogen bulb.
- Unplug the halogen bulb’s socket, press down the spring clip securing the bulb, and carefully remove the original bulb.
-
Install the New LED Bulb
- Connect the new LED bulb to the socket.
- Insert the LED bulb into the lamp housing, ensuring the spring clip is securely fastened.
- Pay attention to the orientation of the LED chips; they should face left and right (horizontal alignment). Avoid placing one chip above and the other below, as this may compromise lighting performance.
-
Install the LED Light Bar
- Choose a secure and adjustable location for installation, such as the bottom of a bracket, and add rubber pads to prevent loosening or vibration.
- First, ground the light bar by connecting its black wire to the vehicle’s chassis.
- Install the relay and fuse, ensuring proper electrical connections and adding a fuse box for safety.
- Use a negative-controlled switch installation method to enhance safety.
Maintenance Guide
-
Routine Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the LED light bar for looseness, damage, or poor contact.
- Clean lamp covers to prevent dirt buildup or aging from affecting illumination.
-
Bulb Replacement
- Replace LED bulbs immediately if brightness diminishes or malfunctions occur.
- Opt for high-quality LED bulbs compatible with your vehicle model to ensure optimal lighting and safety.
-
Circuit Inspection
- Periodically check the LED light bar’s wiring for short circuits, disconnections, or other hazards.
- For electrical issues, consult a professional electrician.
Important Notes
- Avoid using low-quality LED bulbs, as they may impair lighting and safety.
- When modifying or adjusting the LED light bar, comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards to ensure road legality.
