Materials and Equipment
Materials: TPU film, pre-cut into the shape of an airbag.
Equipment: High-frequency heat sealing machine (e.g., Puxiong Auto-P05P), ensuring power and frequency matching.
Tools: Mold, clamps, protective gloves, goggles, etc.
Safety Measures
Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle battery to prevent accidental triggering.
Wear fire-resistant gloves and goggles to avoid burns or injury from flying debris.
II. Heat Sealing Operation Steps
Mold Installation and Adjustment
Place the airbag film into the mold and adjust the heat sealing parameters (e.g., power, time).
Test the heat sealing effect to ensure no air leakage and no poor welds.
Heat Sealing Process
High-Frequency Heat Sealing: Start the equipment; the mold is pressurized and heated to fuse the film.
Control the heat sealing time to avoid overheating or underheating.
Quality Inspection
Inflation Test: Inflate the airbag and check for leaks.
Pressure Test: Simulate actual operating pressure to ensure normal airbag rebound.
Visual Inspection: Observe whether the weld is uniform and undamaged.
III. Precautions
Parameter Control:
Heat-sealing time and power need to be adjusted according to the membrane thickness to avoid overheating or incomplete welding.
During ultrasonic welding, pay attention to the contact pressure between the welding head and the membrane.
Safe Operation:
Keep away from flammable materials and maintain ventilation during heat-sealing.
Shut down the equipment and clean the site after operation.
Maintenance and Care:
Regularly inspect the equipment and clean mold residue.
Replace worn parts to ensure heat-sealing quality.
IV. Common Problem Handling
Air Leakage: Check whether the weld is uniform, re-heat-seale or replace the membrane.
Poor Rebound: Adjust the air control valve or check whether the air pipe is blocked.
